Âmago is founded
Engineering, thermal and HVAC design and energy certification, from the outset for large non-residential buildings: hotels, shopping centres, hospitals and schools.
GEMAX is born
Maintenance management was the poor relation of buildings. We created the simplest software to handle it, launched at the Pousadas de Portugal and now used in five countries.
The first Energy Performance Contract
Clients doubted the savings promised by audits. Our answer: to be paid for the energy actually saved, a model almost unknown in Portugal. The first: Pestana Dom João II, in Alvor.
Winners of the Innovation Support Fund competition
The only competition held in Portugal in this field. Since 2017, the performance contract at the Hotel Pestana Viking has delivered monthly savings of over 60%.
The ESCO with the most hotel contracts
Building management systems and energy monitoring are brought in-house, and heat recovery for hotel hot water earns SIFIDE recognition for R&D.
Research and development
Germfree UVC turns ultraviolet air disinfection into a sanitiser sold on the market. With the University of Algarve come predictive alarms powered by artificial intelligence, first presented at CLIMA 2022.
Winners of Inova Algarve 2.0
The only company shortlisted in two categories. The Tourism and Renewable Energy award went to Hotel’s Free Heat: almost free hot water for hotels in summer, already up and running in several properties.
Buildings as point clouds
With the 3D Services for Engineering project comes the Leica RTC360 scanner: plant rooms and industrial sites scanned to the millimetre, on the way to digital twins.
OPTIMAX is born
Smart Rooms for Smart Hotels, at the invitation of Pestana Hotel Group under the PRR Innovation Agendas: a new climate controller for guest rooms and the cloud software that optimises the central systems.
