Âmago engineer awarded Diploma of Merit by ISE-UAlg
An engineer of the Âmago team has been recognised by ISE-UAlg for the academic merit of his dissertation for the Master’s in Mechanical Engineering — Energy, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
On 21 October 2026, one engineer of the Âmago team, received a Diploma of Merit from the University of Algarve’s Institute of Engineering (ISE-UAlg), recognising the academic merit of his master’s dissertation.
Completed as part of the Master’s in Mechanical Engineering - Energy, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, his dissertation, entitled “Influence of extreme weather conditions on wind turbine failures for enhanced energy production”, examines how extreme weather conditions affect wind turbine failures.
This distinction recognises our colleague’s hard work and dedication to a topic relevant to the renewable energy sector. Understanding the relationship between extreme weather events and equipment failures is important for studying the reliability of wind energy systems.
