Portugal 2020: Internationalisation Voucher for the GEMAX software
With ERDF support, Âmago studied the Spanish, Moroccan and Brazilian markets and began taking GEMAX, its maintenance management software, abroad.
Under Portugal 2020, the partnership agreement between Portugal and the European Commission, Âmago submitted an application to the Algarve Regional Operational Programme, supported by the ERDF, for the project “Strategic Plan for the Internationalisation of the GEMAX Software — Internationalisation Voucher”, which was approved.
The project consisted of developing a marketing and internationalisation plan, supported by consultancy on product development, international participation and the production of a website, brochures and a sales presentation.
It grew out of the company’s strategic focus on international markets. The main aim of the work was a detailed analysis of the target markets — Spain, Morocco and Brazil — with a view to starting to sell the software outside Portugal.
The markets were studied, and strategic actions were defined to find and prospect for new clients and business partners in those countries, with the aim of winning over potential clients to use and buy GEMAX.
With the support of Portugal 2020, by the end of the project Âmago had begun its internationalisation and was able to face competition in foreign markets.
The ERDF incentive was a 75% rate, worth €14,812.50, approved on 19 September 2015, on eligible expenditure of €19,750, calculated under Article 50 of the RECI.
